My favorite motivational speaker, Brian Tracy, suggests that we re-write our goals every day. Assess yourself every day to find out if you are doing better than yesterday. See what you can do to move yourself towards your goals faster. Most people have the tendency of critically assessing little behaviors of other people but never make the effort to reflect upon themselves.
Listen to motivational audio program
Whether you are commuting to work or doing mundane housework, listening to motivational audio program is a great way of making full use of your limited time. By keeping yourself inspired, you are better able to meet the daily challenges you face in life.
Read motivational quotes
Zig Ziglar — ‘People often say motivation doesn’t last. Neither does bathing—that’s why we recommend it daily.’ Motivational quotes are short but can leave a lasting impression on our mind.
You can save more money in the long run by controlling your daily spending. If you spend $6 on a cup of coffee from café each day, you will be splurging $180 per month on coffee alone. Instead of spending hard- earned $180 per month on coffee, it is a smarter to use the $180 to pay for a life insurance plan or invest on the stock market. This provides protection for your future and the future of your loved ones. The younger you are, the cheaper life insurance is as you have lower chance of making a claim from the insurance company. By saving for the rainy days, you have less pressure when you suddenly need a sum of money for urgent needs.
Count your blessings
Our daily lives are full of challenges, be it in work or in personal life. Think of how blissful you are when you compare yourselves with people living in third world countries. Floss your teeth once a day
Brushing your teeth twice a day is not enough to keep your teeth healthy. Through brushing, we can only remove particles that are on the surface of our teeth. Daily flossing of teeth is required to remove tartars that are in between our teeth. Flossing just take up one minute of your time each day.
Skincare- 3 steps for clear complexion
Wash face with cleansers, apply toners and moisturizers are three basic steps of daily skin care regimen. These steps should be done twice a day. Healthy skin is essential for our self image and self confidence. With healthy skin, you do not have to apply thick make up to cover your flaws in order to look good.
You need to apply sun block 20 minutes before you go out of your house to be under the sun. UV protection is a must to prevent dark spots on your skin. Dark spots once formed on the skin are difficult to remove.
Eat fruits and vegetables. Kiwi has more vitamin c content than oranges. This helps to improve your complexion and immune system.
Pick a sport that you like to keep yourself fit. Pushup, play skipping rope, yoga are exercises you can do conveniently anytime at home. If you like a sport that enables you to interact with friends, tennis is a good one. Other than having fun, tennis promotes healthy competition and burn more calories than sports like cycling.
Drink water. If you feel that drinking water is a bit bland, healthy fresh fruit juices and green tea are also great source of liquid for our bodies.
Track your daily calories intake
If you have a perfect body weight and shape, that is great. However, there are many people who are struggling with weight problems. Being overweight not only take a toll on the health, it beats up self esteem. By controlling what you put into your mouth, you can prevent exceeding the acceptable amount of daily calories intake each day in order to maintain a healthy body weight. Consider replacing salted chips with cornflakes cereal that has relatively lower calories content when you need to binge on some snacks while you catch your favorite TV drama.
Reading provides an easy and cost effective way for you to learn from experts. Reading is good for our mind and books are great companion when we are bored.
Write a journal
Writing a journal about the ups and downs of your everyday life helps you to release your emotions. Other than that, you can improve your writing skills.
Sleep at least 7 hours a day
In ever busy life, we tend to skimp on our sleep in order to get more time for our life. This is unhealthy in the long run for our health, mind and skin complexion. You should think of ways to make yourself work more productively or spend less time on activities like watching TV.
Smile not only makes yourself feel happy but will also improve your interpersonal relationships.
You may find it difficult to keep these good habits but you will find yourself happier in the long run.
